EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2022: Florida Rule of General Practice and Judicial Administration 2.516 (Service Pleadings and Documents) requires that self-represented litigants provide an email address for service of court documents. A party who is in custody or a party who is excused by Clerk of Court because they do not have an email address or do not have regular access to the Internet are exceptions to this requirement. Form 2.601 (Request to be Excused from Email Service by a Party Not Represented by an Attorney) is available both online and at our office locations for self-represented litigants to make the declaration of lack of email address or regular Internet Access.
