How do I arrange a wedding ceremony at the courthouse?
Wedding Ceremonies may take place at one of our beautiful courthouse settings in Sarasota or Venice. At all locations, including the Historic Courthouse in Sarasota, the following information applies:

Clerk locations are reserved Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm for wedding ceremonies officiated by the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller.

Fee: $30.00 for a ceremony officiated by a deputy clerk at the courthouse

Day of the Ceremony: Bring your Marriage License!
A wedding ceremony is allotted 10 minutes for the exchange of vows.

If you are eligible to be married the same day that you process your marriage license application, please allow an additional 30 minutes prior to the start of your ceremony so that you may complete the application.

After the ceremony, you may purchase a certified copy of your Marriage License for $3.00 each.
