How do I access a court hearing on Zoom?

Information about accessing a court hearing on Zoom (including the meeting ID and password) is provided by the 12th Judicial Circuit Court.

When is my court date?

If you want to confirm your court date, the information you need (time, place, date) can be found on any of the following documents you may have received:

  • Notice to Appear
  • Court Appearance Record
  • Notice of Court Date Change
  • Florida Uniform Traffic Citation
  • Florida Traffic Summons

Don’t have your document(s) on hand? Follow the steps below to find your court date online:

  1. Visit the ClerkNet portal
  2. Search for your case by either the defendant’s name or the case number
  3. Select your case from the search result list
  4. Scroll to the section “Case Events” – You will see all scheduled court events, including the time and location for the case
  5. Verify the court date by matching it with any court documents you have received

Still can’t find your court date?

If you’re still having trouble finding the information you need, call your attorney.

If you do not have an attorney, call the Clerk and Comptroller's Office at (941) 861-7400. Please have the defendant's name and case number available when you call.

What if I cannot make my court date?

If counsel represents you, contact your attorney.

If your case is a county criminal case (case number has MM, CT, CO, or MO in the case number), you are not represented by an attorney, and you have not previously filed a Motion to Set Aside Bench Warrant/Set New Court Date, then you may come to the Clerk's Office to complete a Motion to Set Aside Bench Warrant/Set New Court Date.

When will my Bail Bond posted in cash be returned?

The Bail Bond will be returned after all fees owed are subtracted from the amount posted (Florida Statutes 903.286, 27.52, and 938.29).

If it is past the 30th business day following final disposition, you may call the Clerk and Comptroller's Office at (941) 861-7400 to inquire about the Bond Return. When you call, please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • defendant's name
  • case number
  • bond number

How do I follow my case?

  1. Go to ClerkNet
  2. Search for your case by defendant name or by case number
  3. Select your case
  4. Scroll to Case Events to view all scheduled court events, including time and location

How do I request that the Court seal or expunge a criminal record?

Follow the steps below to request a case be sealed or expunged:

  1. Visit the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) website to download the certificate of eligibility.

  2. Once you have obtained your Certificate of Eligibility from FLE, download the appropriate Sealing and Expungement Packet:

  3. File the following documents with the Office of the Clerk of Court and County Comptroller:

How do I pay Court costs, fines, and fees?

Court costs, fines, and fees ordered are paid to the Clerk of the Circuit Court unless you are on Department of Corrections (DOC) probation.

 If you aren’t sure about the amount you owe, access your case on ClerkNet to view a breakdown of court fees associated with your case.

Pay Online: Follow the prompts to view your case(s) and make a payment.

Important! If you cannot submit an online payment, please pay by mail.

Pay by Mail - To make a payment by mail, send a check or money order—made payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Are payment plans available for Court costs, fines, and fees?

Yes. Please call the Clerk of the Circuit Court at 941-861-7400 to determine eligibility for payment plans.

How do I make payments to Probation?

You will need to contact the Department of Corrections (DOC).

If you are currently paying your court costs, fines, and fees to the DOC you must continue to do so until the Court directs you to do otherwise.

What do I do if my case has been referred to a collection agency?
