Several online service options are available for conducting Sarasota County court business. Depending on the service, you may be able to search for information online without registering for an account (a.k.a. anonymous or public search).

Attorneys and self-represented (Pro Se) litigants can use the Florida Courts Online Filing system.

How do I file court documents electronically?

Register to file at the Florida Courts Online Filing Portal. There is no fee to register.

Are there fees to file court documents online?

While there is no fee to register for an account to use the Florida Courts Online Filing Portal, fees may be required according to Florida Statute when filing new cases or for specific documents. The fee must be paid at the time the document or case is submitted for filing. You will see these fees while you are working in the portal to file your particular case and documents.

Do I have to use online filing for foreclosure case documents?

Yes. All foreclosure case documents are required to be filed online as established by the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Administrative Order AO 2012-3.1(PDF, 178KB), which covers standard procedures for residential and commercial mortgage foreclosure actions

Are electronic signatures allowed on all types of documents?

Attorneys are permitted to use electronic signatures (e-signature or s/) on documents. Review e-signature formatting
