How to Record a Document in Person

Recording services are available Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and office closures, at the Clerk and Comptroller’s office locations in Sarasota and Venice.

  • Documents recorded in person will be returned by USPS First Class Mail.

This option is suitable for paper documents signed electronically by parties, witnesses and or notaries.

A paper document that has been electronically notarized must contain all of the required notary information but is not required to have a physical or electronic stamp, impression, or seal.
