License Suspended? Save Money and Get Back on the Road
What is Operation Green Light?
Operation Green Light is a statewide Driver License reinstatement event program.
If not paid within 90 days of the due date, Florida Law requires the Clerk's office to turn over unpaid tickets and other outstanding court fines and fees to an outside collection agency.
During Operation Green Light, the Sarasota County Clerk and Comptroller's office has been authorized to waive collection agency fees -- some as high as 30 percent -- for any one who pays off their court obligations, including traffic tickets, in full or signs up for a monthly payment plan. The Clerk and Comptroller's office will also help customers who are eligible to reinstate their suspended driver license for an additional fee.

When participating in Operation Green Light, take these steps to ensure you will be able to reinstate your driver's license.
