Clerk and Comptroller Recognized for Outstanding Passport Acceptance Services, Perfect Score Inspection by U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs
SARASOTA, FL -- Karen E. Rushing is proud to receive recognition from the United States Department of State, Bureau of Consular Affairs Passport Services Division, for receiving a perfect score during recent inspections by the Miami Regional Passport Division as part of the nation's Acceptance Facility Review Report program. The U.S. Department of State Passport Agency establishes all guidelines, forms, fees, time frames, and passport application processes, and is the only agency that can issue a U.S. Passport.
Both of the Clerk and Comptroller's offices -- in Sarasota on Main Street, and in Venice at the R.L. Anderson Administration Center -- serve as Passport Acceptance Facilities, providing Certified Passport Acceptance Agents to assist with the passport application process. These two offices join a small group of facilities statewide to receive a perfect score following inspections and observation of the Acceptance Agents. With nearly 300 facilities in the Miami Passport Agency's region having undergone the same rigorous assessment, it is no small feat to be recognized as one of the best.
This recognition underscores the Clerk and Comptroller's hard work and vigilance in supporting the U.S. Department of State's mission to issue secure travel documents to U.S. citizens, while providing the highest level of customer service, professionalism, and integrity.
