Property and identity fraud is a nationwide problem. By filing fake deeds, scammers appear to own property, and can then fraudulently rent or sell property, without the knowledge of the true owner. This can seriously impact the true owner's credit rating, or ability to sell or rent the property.

Your Sarasota County, Florida Clerk and Comptroller wants to help you in protecting against property fraud.
