NEW E-FILING RULES

Florida Supreme Court Opinion SC2023-1401: Rule 2.525 Amendments

The Florida Supreme Court has amended Rule 2.525 of the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration effective July 1, 2025.

KEY CHANGES:

Documents are only permitted to be placed in the correction queue under the following circumstances:

  • Incorrect or missing case number that cannot be reliably identified
  • Missing or incorrect case style
  • Multiple documents improperly combined or separated
  • Proposed orders not filed under a proper notice of filing
  • Illegible, corrupt, or blank documents
  • Documents barred by court order or incompatible with case management systems
